Taking languages in college?

You'll need to take a placement test. Generally, if you've taken four years of language and/or AP, you'll test out of the introductory level classes. It also depends on how good of a student you were in that language. Languages are definitely taught at a faster pace in college, but most classes are. The good news is that most schools offer some kind of tutoring if you get behind, and you can always go to your professor's office hours if you're struggling.
